Garrett Nickelsen | The Maine | 21 | Manic Depression | Open Alternating moods of abnormal highs (mania) and lows (depression). Called bipolar disease because of the swings between these opposing poles in mood. A type of depressive disease. Not nearly as prevalent as other forms of depressive disorders. Sometimes the mood switches are dramatic and rapid, but most often they are gradual. Mania often affects thinking, judgment, and social behavior. For example, unwise or unusual decisions may be made when an individual is in a manic phase. It is often a chronic recurring condition. More often than not Garrett’s moods seemed to control him and his actions. The constant fluctuation between bad moods and good moods was evident but seemed to always lean more towards the negative side. When he was in a bad mood, sleeping was impossible because his thoughts seemed to roam and play over and over again why he was in a bad mood and amplify it so that his brain gave him it’s own form of personal torture. He was quiet, withdrawn but if you got into that close circle of friends that’s knit very tight around him then you’d find that there doesn’t exist a person that is more loyal, loving and trust worthy than Garrett. He spends his off days sleeping, catching up on music or trolling around on tumblr and getting to know his fans better. His closest friends are and have always been his brother and his band mates. But Pat always seemed to be a bit closer to him and understood him better than anybody else. ****** Okay, Garrett is not a happy person. He is not bubbly, he is not friendly. He is not super talkative. He does not like to be involved in social interactions. He will not use those super gay smiley faces. (C:, :D, :), =) ect ect.) He’s not flirty or smooth with girls, he will not throw himself out there for conversation. He prefers to be left alone with his thoughts.
